The month of March has begun with a combination of great victories accompanied by a more than usual set of challenges. The month began at the ICLC conference in Shawnee where we experienced a great time of fellowship and a real sense that God is pouring out and anointing for the harvest. This is a strategic season of equipping, activating and releasing the body of Christ to carry the power and presence of our wonderful Jesus. His glory is breaking through! I imagine this image has been photo-shopped, but when I saw it, I felt the Holy Spirit nudge me that it was a prophetic declaration for this moment.
On the 5th we left for Europe, first to Holland where we ministered at the Life Church in Voorthuizen. The church has a wonderful atmosphere that feels like family on a mission. They are pressing in together for more and we enjoyed our time pouring in to them. From there we flew to France to speak at a leaders’ conference in Grenoble. About four hundred Pentecostal and charismatic leaders from French-speaking nations around the world were represented. We had a remarkable time with them and we saw God bring revelation and encouragement to press in for more. Their receptivity in the time of impartation at the end was encouraging; but watching the depth of relational trust the leadership has developed gave us great confidence that France is on the verge of a significant move of God. Thank you so much for praying for us during this strategic time.
On the same day we left for Europe our son Philip took our daughter Rachel to see the doctor. When we arrived in Holland we got word that she had been admitted to the hospital. Then the next morning we woke to the news that she has been moved to the ICU. All of her vital signs looked good except that her oxygen levels were extremely low. At first, it sounded like she would only be in for a few days and Philip was with her, so we felt we should stay through the conference. However, she had not made the progress we had hoped, so Sally and I flew home right after the Grenoble conference to be with her. That meant we had to cancel the various other arrangements, one of them being in Switzerland.
Though Rachel’s lungs are looking better, she is still retaining too much fluid and is unable to sustain her oxygen levels when she tries to breathe on her own. She is stable with the help of the ventilator but remains in the ICU in serious condition. In the natural, recovery is going to be a long slow process, but we are contending for miracles at each step. At the moment we are staying in her home in Columbia, Missouri to be available to visit her and help out in any way we can. We ask you to stand with us for her body to heal and for a full recovery.
Thank you all for your prayer and support; we couldn’t do what we do without your faithfulness. Sign up to be one of our intercessors on our website steveandsally.org to get more regular updates from us. We would also like to extend another invitation for you to join us on a mission trip; the details are below.
Living like Kings kids
Steve and Sally
Join us as we minister in Brazil. This two-week trip will give you the opportunity to experience the passion for God that is growing in this nation. For years teams have traveled to Brazil to witness the current revival, and now it is your chance. You can expect to see the book of Acts come alive as you encounter miracles and watch people get saved, healed and set free as you pray.
Sally and I will lead the team, which will be based in the bustling city of Sao Paulo. We will spend the mornings doing outreach in the community, and then each evening we will hold evangelistic healing meetings hosted by churches in the area. We only have room for 10 people to travel with us on this trip; so download the application from our website steveandsally.org and get it in with a $250 deposit to secure your spot on the team.
The cost is still estimated for this trip, but we are planning on (airfare + $1700) with an early bird discount of $200 if the trip is paid for in full by the 1st of September. The registration deadline for this trip will be first of October; so, act quickly and take advantage of the early bird discount.
As a reminder, we have a new book that focuses on the process and context for developing the fruit of the Spirit so that the character of Jesus can be fully formed in us. From that position we move away from a style or sound of ministry in which our gift attracts attention to ourselves and into a place where ministry is motivated purely by compassion. Do us a favor and buy a copy either on our website steveandsally.org, where we have it on sale this month, or get it direct from Amazon. Also, it would be a great blessing to us if you would take the time to do a review of this book on Amazon. It really helps us get the things we have written out to a wider market.
