Leaving A Legacy

Hi Friends

In January we spent a great week in Recife, Brazil teaching at the school at Shores of Grace School of ministry as well as spending time with some of their staff. We knew before we went that the speaking schedule for this trip was light but it turned out to be a real blessing. First, the hotel gave us an amazing upgrade, putting us on the top floor overlooking an incredible view. Then, between meetings we were able to rest, relax and get caught up on some writing. It was hard not to be inspired.

After a week home we spent the first three weeks of February in Europe ministering in Holland, Switzerland and then France. It was a wonderful, busy, productive, tiring and effective time. It started with a flight to Amsterdam and then a drive to Voorthuizen where we spent the weekend with the Life Church. It was a great time of building relationships and pouring into a body of people who are standing for revival in their nation.

We then had a week before a conference in Germany and we got to do something we have always wanted to do. We drove to Wittenberg, to spend a few days in the city where Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the door of the Wittenberg Castle church, giving birth to the Reformation. Having just celebrated the 500th year anniversary of this historic event we enjoyed spending a few days exploring and even climbed the winding steps to the top the tower to get a view of the city. Together with our friend Vera we spent some time soaking up the atmosphere and seeking to hear God about this season of awakening in the body of Christ. It was so much fun to stand at the door where Luther stood and declare the truth that signs wonders and miracles would be fully restored to the proclamation of the Gospel message.

The plan then was to drive to Cloppenburg, Germany where we were to minister for a weekend. However, at the last minute the church went through a difficult transition and the conference was canceled. It left us with a weekend free and as we prayed about how we should use the time, the Lord reminded us of an invitation we had received to minister in Basel, Switzerland. So on a Tuesday evening we called them and offered to fly down to them on Thursday. God was in the plan and our friends, Chris and Alma, arranged an amazing set of meetings on 2 days notice. We ministered in several churches and in their home meeting and we watched God do some wonderful things in the lives of His people

Our friend John Tressel picked us up in Basel and we drove across France to Normandy for a meeting with the publishing company that has just released our first book in French. It was a thrill to see what they have done with it and we love the cover design they came up with. We then spent several days traveling with John visiting churches and ended up in Paris last weekend for a great series of meetings with the Philadelphia church.

We saw God do wonderful things in each place on this trip, but Europe needs an even greater demonstration of the power of God so that they can respond to His goodness. We saw real breakthrough in this last year and again this year, but we are asking you to stand with us, as we believe for more.

We thank you again and want to express our deep appreciation for your love and prayer as we seek to walk in obedience to do all God is asking of us this year. Next week we are in Oklahoma for the ICLC conference then I’m off to Guyana for a week while Sally stays home to prepare for our trip to Londrina, Brazil mid March. As you pray for our travel, pray as well for continued good health and stamina.
