The Level is Rising

We had an incredible few weeks in South Africa. Thank you for standing with us; each day we felt the strength of your support and prayer. We started our trip in the Duet Church in Potchefstroom. This church is making the transition into a revival culture and their hunger for more was evident. We had visited this church in April this year and the change in the last 6 months was so encouraging. When we had them pray for each other on the Sunday morning there was almost no resistance and many were healed and a good number responded to give their lives to Jesus.

The Duet church also has a very significant student ministry reaching out to the North-West University, which has three campuses and over 60,000 students. Their Sunday evening Student meeting was one of our favorite experiences of the whole trip. We focused on activating the students in praying for the sick and giving personal prophecy, then watched with great joy as they ministered to each other.

We saw a number of significant healings but our favorite for the night was watching cancer disappear. A young lady had a visible skin cancer on her arm. When the lady next to her prayed for her, the heat on her arm became so intense that from the platform I could see her fanning the spot on her arm. After a few minutes the heat subsided and when it did, all the redness was gone and the skin looked normal. Jesus is wonderful!

It was so much fun to hang out with these precious leaders who are making such a significant impact in their region. This is the church we are going back to in April with a team. So if you are interested in being part of this trip go to steveandsally.org and fill out the application to sign up to be part of this exciting adventure.

Then after visiting churches in Modderfontein and Brakpan we spent three days at the NCMI (New Covenant Ministries International) Equip conference. We are so encouraged with how this amazing church planting network is shifting to embrace more of the Holy Spirit’s power and presence. We saw several significant healings as we ministered, including a broken leg healed, a painful tumor disappeared and a man with long-term scoliosis was completely healed. The final weekend before leaving South Africa we spent time reconnecting with friends at the Base Church in West Rand.

We are now home after an excellent week reconnecting with friends at VOA. We especially want to thank each of you for your intercession for Sally’s health. We celebrate that even though she had the symptoms of a mini stroke she has suffered no loss of mobility or memory. Even though her nervous system took quite a shock, each day we have seen her grow a little stronger, and we are on the way to full restoration.

Thank you each for your prayer and the love you have shown us,

Living like King’s Kids
