Have we ever thought of how important GRACE is to us? We first encountered grace through being introduced to Jesus Christ. He came into the world full of grace and truth (John 1:14) and when we began to understand the truth of His coming, we experienced His grace.
Before Christ came into my life, I only knew “grace” as “elegance, refinement of movement, poise.” It was something I wanted to be known as – “graceful.” I had no idea of the real meaning and power of this amazing truth.
God’s grace is the divine influence that operates in humans to regenerate and sanctify, to impart strength to endure trials and resist temptation. Grace is a gift from our Heavenly Father, given through His Son, Jesus Christ; it is what makes His Father become our Father. It is enabling power and healing offered through the mercy and love of Jesus Christ and administered to us by the Holy Spirit.
That first introduction to Jesus Christ revealed the way of salvation – He took the punishment that my sin deserved; His death on the cross for me began a new life for me. Hallelujah!
It is because of His grace that we are saved, that we have assurance of eternal life. Yet, there is more to the grace we received than this. There is such POWER in His grace. I can do nothing without His grace no matter how difficult the way is before me, He has promised, “My grace is sufficient for you,” 2 Cor. 12:9.
The JOY that we can experience when we are willing to step out in faith and take a “risk” cannot be compared to pleasures of this world. I have seen many healed and it had nothing to do with my abilities. NO, it is by His grace and by me tapping into it by faith.
Let us do more than just dip our toes into this ever-flowing fountain of His grace; let us stand with Him in such a place that His grace pours over us continually.
