New Creations

New Creations

Yes, that’s what it says!! “Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold new things have come,”
2 Cor. 5:17.

Can this be? Yes, His Word says it and that settles it! He gave His life that we could have new life – a life that has purpose and meaning, a life with a destiny – the destiny God purposed for us when we were born. The destiny the enemy sought to steal from us by engulfing us with shame that weighed us down. The shame was there because of guilt. But when we discovered the love of Christ that cleanses us, we clung to His love as the way to life and were cleansed through His forgiveness.

When you look at me, you are not seeing me as I was before Christ. Praise God! No! You are seeing me as I am now – IN CHRIST.

When we come to Christ, He doesn’t patch us up. He makes us new. All that old “garbage thinking and doing” is no more. It’s gone. Christ took it to the cross and did away with it.

When we put ourselves into His hands, we are made new. His hands are the hands that were nailed to the cross for us. He did it for us. Now, read that verse again. (2 Cor. 5:17)

As a new person we find that every part of our being has been affected. We don’t think the same way; we don’t dream the same way; and we certainly don’t communicate the same way. The way we see things is different, because our focus is from a new place in us that is in Him. We have a different perspective. Our outlook is different. Where there was only fear or anxiety, there is now HOPE and FAITH.

WE are new creations. Let us yell that out together. I AM A NEW CREATION! Now, let’s go to our neighbors and tell them that we are new creations, and that through Christ they can be a new creation.
