The God of Hope

“May the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” Romans 15:13.

God is not only the God of Faith, but He is the God of HOPE. There is nothing weak or lacking in hope. In fact because it is from God it is powerfully accompanied by joy and peace, and that is because we trust in this God of HOPE. Our trust produces hope that stirs and burns in us for the things we have not yet seen. By the power of the Holy Spirit this active, vibrant, energetic hope overflows and others are affected to the glory of God.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the assurance of things not seen” Hebrews 11:1.

Oh God, I want to get to the place that I will no longer be chained down (with absolute assurance) only to what I believe I have heard from You, but instead I will be launched out into a limitless exploration of the desires and dreams You have placed within me.

With You I will sail on the ship “HOPE”, for You are an Awesome and Powerful God. And as I leave the port “Doubt” or “Stuck”, open my eyes and ears wide to all that You may reveal to me, for my trust is in the Captain of my ship and He controls my rudder and anchor.
